Together, we learn, grow and dream

Religious Education

Religious Education, here at Wincham, is linked with moral education, presenting a foundation of tolerance, care and understanding for others.

We have adopted the Cheshire West & Chester Agreed Syllabus, This helps the children to understand the significance of religion and its contribution to their spiritual, moral, social and cultural development.

Assemblies are based on the Christian belief although the faiths of other cultures will be discussed from time to time.

A daily act of worship takes place in school.  This may be :-

  • A whole school assembly
  • A separate Foundation & KS1 or KS2 assembly
  • A class reflection.

Prayers are said at lunch time and at the end of the school day. During the year parents are invited to school to share in some of our celebrations.  Parents not wishing their child to be included in religious worship or instruction are invited to contact the Headteacher.
