Art, Craft and Design
Through creative activities children learn to express their feelings and understanding of the world around them.
Practical activities will facilitate the linking of thought, feeling and action and encourage the ability to discriminate, solve problems and develop in technological capability and awareness.
The children are offered a variety of techniques to extend creative thinking and thus develop confidence to initiate and visually represent ideas.
Children are encouraged to develop a range of skills when working with tools or working in groups when co-operating, compromising, planning, designing, constructing and decision making are required.
In these areas of the curriculum much pleasure can be experienced by the child, and the self-fulfilment that follows ensures a positive, confident attitude.
