The School Day
At 8.45 am the staff are available to supervise the children on the playground.
Parents are responsible for the supervision of their children before this time and after school each afternoon. The playing of ball games and use of the climbing frames is not permitted before and after school for health and safety reasons.
At 8.55 am the bell is rung, the children line up and then enter school ready for a prompt start at 9.00 am.
12.00pm – 1pm – Lunch for KS2 Children
12.15pm – 1.30pm – Lunch for KS1 & Reception Children
3.15pm – school day ends for KS1 & Reception Children
3.20pm – school day ends for KS2 Children
The length of the school day is as follows:-
- 5 and a half hours for the Key Stage 2 children (Years 3, 4, 5 & 6)
- 5 hours for the Reception and Key Stage 1 children (Reception & Years 1 & 2)
- 3 hours for the Nursery children, additional 45 minutes may be arranged (see Nursery Co-ordinator)
These times include daily acts of worship of approximately 15 minutes and one break time of 15 minutes.
Nursery and Caterpillars
The Nursery session commences at 8.45am and finishes at 11.45am
A ‘Lunch Time Club’ is available from 11.45am to 12.30pm for Nursery and Caterpillars children. This facility is provided at an additional cost to parents. Please ask for ‘Lunch Time Club’ leaflet for more details.
Caterpillars session commences at 12.30pm to 3.30pm.
