Physical Education

Through this area of the curriculum children are allowed to learn the limitations and strengths of their own bodies.  Challenges are often made that demand not only physical expertise, but qualities of perseverance, stamina and resolve.  Physical Education develops personal confidence and general well being.

School PE lessons are taught by coaches from Multiflex.  Children additionally have the opportunity to develop stamina and fitness by running the Golden Mile track every day as part of a class or personal fitness challenge.

Sport
At Wincham we ensure that the children have the opportunity to experience a variety of team games, football, netball, rounders, athletics, rugby, cricket and swimming to mention but a few.

PE Uniform Requirements

  • Black shorts
  • White T Shirt
  • Pumps for indoor sports & pumps or trainers for outside games
  • Black jogging trousers & sweatshirt (for use on cooler days)

All kit is to be labelled with the child’s name and kept in school in a drawstring bag. From Year 3 the children will have an opportunity to take part in after school sports, for these additional kit may be required. ie. football boots and shinpads.

Girls need to tie back long hair and have a pair of socks available for PE if they are wearing tights during the school day, during cooler weather.

The school takes part in inter-school competitions and activities in:
