Geography
The school aims to teach the children about the world and the people in it.  Well defined curriculum plans, quality books and other resources give children the opportunity to understand and appreciate the differences caused by climate, weather and place.

The children study the local area then a contrasting locality in Britain, Europe and the wider world.

The school has a National link with ‘The Valley’ School in Bolton and a global link with Njoro DEB School in Kenya. These projects give the children a deeper understand of school and family life within differing cultures and societies.

History
The school itself has a wonderful historical background and plays an important part in teaching the children the meaning of history.

We make this subject meaningful to children by organising visits to places of historical importance, by studying through videos and books and by using objects from the past to stimulate and interest the children.
