Admissions Policy

The latest Cheshire West and Chester Admissions policy can be found online at  www.cheshirewestandchester.gov.uk/admissions or alternatively you can call 0300 123 7039.

Please also refer to the Admissions Policy policy.

The school currently has an admission limit of 45 pupils per year group.

We have a 26 place Nursery and provided we can offer a placement, nursery children can be admitted the term after their third birthday. Additional places are available in the Caterpillars Pre-School group.

There is one intake into our Reception Class each September. All these children will become 5 years old by the 31st August of the following year.

If your family has moved into Wincham & Pickmere or are considering relocation, then please contact the school as soon as possible to arrange a meeting to discuss transfer arrangements.

Admission Induction Arrangements
Every effort is made to ensure that children settle quickly and happily into both Nursery and School. Intakes to the Nursery and Reception are staggered initially, enabling staff to give children more attention during their first weeks. Shorter sessions can be arranged if children experience difficulty in settling.
Before starting School, all children will have had a preliminary visit. A settling in period is planned for the first few weeks of term beginning with half days and then gradually lengthening the school day until children are happy to stay for a full day.
